Silicone Pot Side Drain Stopper

we added this to nexonic a bit back and i still find myself using it more than i thought i would. its this rubbery clip thing, silicone, and you just stick it on the side of ur pot before pouring the water out. food stays in, water goes out the little holes on the side. pretty straightforward once you actually use it

first time i grabbed it i was making spaghetti and honestly wasnt sure itd even stay clipped on while pouring, like i kept picturing it sliding off halfway through and noodles going everywhere in the sink. didnt happen tho, it stayed put the whole time and drained out pretty fast too

did rice a couple days later cause rice is always the annoying one, it slips through basically anything thats not a proper strainer. but this one held it back fine, no rice down the drain which was honestly kind of satisfying to see work

silicone means you dont gotta worry about putting it on a pot straight off the stove, its fine with heat, wont melt or bend outta shape or anything like that. the handle part also stays cool enough while ur pouring so you dont end up burning ur fingers, which happens to me more than id like to admit with normal strainers

it clips onto most regular pots fine, tried a few different ones we had laying around and no problems fitting it. if u got some weird shaped pot with a really unusual rim it might not sit as snug but for like typical pots at home its good

cleaning it after is quick, rinse it under water or throw it in the dishwasher if ur not in the mood to scrub anything by hand. and cause its silicone it just folds down flat when ur done so it fits in a drawer somewhere instead of taking up cabinet space like an actual colander does

if u cook pasta or rice a lot and are kinda over dragging out a big strainer every single time just to drain a pot, this ones a pretty easy fix for that. nothing crazy fancy about it but it does the job and saves a step
